Mugabes hire Koffi Olomide for Bona’s wedding

CONGOLESE musician Koffi Olomide will be one of the top entertainers at the wedding of the First Daughter Bona Mugabe in Harare on Saturday as the Mugabe’s pull all the stops for their beloved daughter’s big day.

Bona ties the knot with pilot husband Simba Chikore.

Olomide jetted into the country together with the President Robert Mugabe on Wednesday evening as the veteran leader returned from the Democratic Republic of Congo where he attended a Comesa summit.

The musician, according to sources, has been invited by First Lady Grace Mugabe, who is said to be a huge fan of rhumba music.

Details however remain still sketchy due to the level of security surrounding the wedding that is scheduled for the family's plush home in Borrodale Brook.

The wedding comes after a glitzy bridal shower held for Bona at Iron Mask Farm in Mazoe last weekend.

Several trucks also drove into the country earlier this month with furniture to be used at the event.
The wedding is reported to have cost ratepayers over a million in sprucing up infrastructure that includes roads.

It also comes just a week after another expensive party for Mugabe as the nation celebrated his 90th birthday at a function held at Rudhaka Stadium on Sunday
