Barbadian singer wears a hijab but are her poses at Shaikh Zayed Mosque appropriate?
Dubai: Rihanna’s Diamonds World Tour has had its fair share of
controversy-stirring day trips (such as hanging out with endangered
animals in Thailand), but her photoshoot at Abu Dhabi’s Shaikh Zayed
Grand Mosque might just top them all.

The Barbadian singer, who performed in the capital on Saturday night,
paid a visit to the white marble mosque and posted pictures on her
Instagram account, Badgalriri, with the caption “Fashion Killaz in Abu
Dhabi”.
Wearing a headscarf, as is required for female visitors to the mosque, a
heavy gold necklace and a black jumpsuit covering her to her ankles and
wrists, Rihanna posed for a series of photos by fashion photographers
Steven Gomillion and Dennis Leupold.
The Shaikh Zayed Grand Mosque is the UAE's biggest mosque, and is open to non-Muslims for daily tours.
