Cameroon and Tunisia will face off in a decisive World Cup playoffs match on Sunday.
Both teams battled to a 0-0 draw in the opening leg and face a
tremendously difficult task heading into the next leg. Both teams have
several advantages heading into the match. Cameroon is home for this
game and will have the support of its fans in the game. Home tilts
usually favor the home side but, as witnessed by Ethiopia in the opening
leg against Nigeria, a lot of things could easily go the wrong way.
Cameroon won all three home games in the group stage while Tunisia
managed one win and one draw in its group round.
Tunisia was probably unhappy to walk away with a draw in its home
game, but the team only needs to score one goal to put Cameroon in a
panic. Any draw in this match (aside from a 0-0 tie) would put Tunisia
through by virtue of the away goals. If Tunisia scores the opening goal,
then they will be in complete control.
Cameroon finished atop group four wins, one draw and one loss in
Group I. Tunisia finished first in Group B with a record of four wins
and two draws. The team scored 13 goals in those six matches and
conceded six times.
Projected lineups
Cameroon: Charles Itandje; Dany Nounkeu, Nicolas N'Koulou, Aurélien Chedjou, Allan Nyom; Eyong Enoh, Joël Matip, Alexandre Song; Jean Makoun; Samuel Eto'o, Pierre Webó.
Tunisia: Moez

Chikhaoui, Sami Allagui; Amine Chermiti.
Match Date/Time: Sunday, 3 p.m. local, 9 a.m. ET
Venue: Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo, Yaoundé, Cameroon
Prediction: Cameroon is the better team "on paper" with the likes of
Samuel Eto'o leading the way. Look for the home to run away with a 2-0
victory.
